6.45 pm – Learn – Seed Saving and Top Food Security Plants for Our Area

Presented by Annaliese Hordern

Annaliese is entirely passionate about seeds and Permaculture plants.  She has worked with Green Harvest Organic Gardening for the past 3 years as a horticulturalist raising seedlings from seed including a wide variety of Permaculture plants and propagating their perennial edible plant collection.

We’ll learn about Seed Saving and Top Food Security Plants for Our Area including:

  • managing our seed collections
  • seed viability and storage
  • seed selection for our climate that provide many benefits
  • top perennial plants

Annaliese Hordern (Symbiotic Nature) is a passionate sustainability educator, with a strong focus on ethnobotanical research and plant-based lifestyle. She has spent the last 3 years working as a horticulturalist with Green Harvest Organic Gardening and is on the Grounded Leadership Board with Grounded Permaculture Action Party.

Annaliese holds a degree in Environmental Resource Management, a Diploma of Permaculture and draws upon two decades working in areas of regenerative sustainability and local food movements. She has trained with and documented numerous Permaculture pioneers and next generation practitioners globally. This, along with her lived experiences on many Eco-communities, demonstrating inspiring examples of sustainability has provided a solid grounding for what Annaliese brings to community education.

Annaliese lives on a one-acre Permaculture property on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, where she loves growing her own seasonal fruits and vegetables.
