What We’ll Do

We’ll start at 2.00pm with Rebecca Hopper doing some introductions before handing over to Peter Hayes.  After the practical workshop we’ll finish with Afternoon Tea and an opportunity to chat with others.

Practical Workshop

Presented by Peter Hayes

Peter is a Community Conservation Partnerships officer at Brisbane City Council and works actively in the Land for Wildlife Program.  Pete will be talking to us about how we can help protect wildlife in our own backyards and leading us through our microbat box building project.

Each family attending will build and take home your own Microbat Box to place in their garden or give as a gift.  Please don’t worry if you’re not very experienced with using tools because there will be lots of help for those without construction experience.

In addition, some information will be shared about current attempts to get Land for Wildlife re-established in the Toowoomba Region and how you can get involved if you’d like to.

We’ll finish with an opportunity to ask questions and chat with others.
