6.30 pm – Connect – Doors Open
Please bring your surplus produce, plants, seeds, books, craft supplies, tools etc. to share with others on the Share Table. Place your donations on the table when you arrive, and then sharing will open at 8.00pm after the LEARN session. Browse, ask questions and chat together.
6.45 pm – Learn – Bees, Beekeeping and Honey Flora of South East Queensland

This month, we’re excited to have Glen Tucker, President of the Southern Beekeepers Association which services Toowoomba Region and surrounds for those interested in keeping bees, giving a presentation on Honey Flora of Southeast Queensland as well as some general information on Bees and Beekeeping.
Information included in this presentation will be on the basic requirements of bees for honey production as well as some detail on the most important trees and other flora for honey production in SE Queensland including information about botanical identification of these species. The formal presentation will go for about 40 minutes and there will be time for questions during and after the presentation.
Glen is an Agricultural Scientist by training who has interest and expertise in both bees and the flora from which they harvest nectar to produce honey. He is also an amateur beekeeper and has kept bees for about 6 years.
8.00 pm – Connect – Light Supper and Share Table
A light supper will be served. Sharing of produce opens at 8.00pm to allow plenty of time for everyone to place their donations on the Share Table, and then give you the opportunity to browse, connect and make your selections during supper.

First-time Visitors to a Permaculture Toowoomba Inc. Event – Free
Non-Members – $10 per person (children attending with parents are free)
Annual Membership of Permaculture Toowoomba Inc. is $40 per person or $30 for a second or subsequent family member. Membership forms will be available on the night for anyone wishing to join, or available here for download.
Location and Parking
Canvas Coworking is located at 625 Ruthven Street, located between Herries and James Streets, next to August Moon Restaurant. Entry is from Ruthven Street and free street parking is readily available in the evenings.
The venue has access for wheel chairs, walking frames and strollers as needed.
Everyone is welcome (including children with parent supervision).

We encourage you to bring your surplus produce, plants, seeds, books, craft supplies and resources to share with others at our monthly Connect and Learn evenings.
Some ideas of what you could bring include – fruit, vegetables, herbs, eggs, honey, milk, jams, pickles, preserves, jars, ferments, starters, scobies, seeds, plants, seedlings, cuttings, tubers, pots, tools, gardening magazines, permaculture books, recipes, patterns, manure, coffee grounds, compost additives, worms, meal worms, wool, fabric, craft supplies, soap, natural cleaning products, plastic alternatives, produce bags – the list is extensive.
Please bring whatever you can and then take home whatever you need within our culture of generosity and free sharing.
